Bloxx, a pioneer in content filtering and security, today announced that it has appointed Marc Fairclough to head up its UK and EMEA channel sales programme. The move is part of Bloxx’s continued evolution towards a 100 per cent channel model and in his role as Director of Channel Sales UK and Europe, Fairclough’s remit will be to build on the company’s UK channel footprint and develop the company’s channel partnerships across Europe and acquire partners that support Bloxx entering into new markets.
Fairclough joins from Smoothwall where he was Head of Global Partner Sales and Alliances. He will be actively looking to recruit partners and forge relationships that will bolster Bloxx’s presence in the Government and education sectors, as well as solidify and expand strategic partnerships that will extend the company’s reach in the corporate sector. Outside of the UK, Fairclough has his sights set on Germany and the Nordics as immediate key growth territories.

Supporting this new digital presence is a commitment to two hour response times for any query from a channel partner, same day demos and a clear, decisive message and direction for channel business. In addition, Fairclough and his team will work with resellers and distributors to demonstrate how Bloxx can be aligned with other technologies in order to help partner’s up-sell, discover new market opportunities and ultimately, grow their bottom line.
