Construction Specialist Michael Dyson Associates Installs Bloxx Web Filtering to Protect Workers from Online Threats

Michael Dyson Associates has implemented Bloxx web filtering to protect its staff and network from Internet threats. The Bloxx solution protects employees when they are surfing the Internet in the office or from remote locations.

Michael Dyson Associates (MDA) Ltd. is a multi-disciplinary consultancy practice, which offers a full range of technical support services within the construction industry. The company has multiple sites spanning the UK, with its main offices housed in Huddersfield, Burton Upon Trent, Wrexham and Bridport.

“Due to a large increase in staff numbers at MDA, we felt it necessary to bolster our Internet security both for our employees and the company network itself,” comments Michael Dyson Associates Senior IT Technician, Dave Binns. “Previously, although we had firewall and anti-virus software in place, we had no web filtering solution to further protect ourselves from the copious dangers online.”

MDA has selected the Bloxx TVT-100 web filtering appliance which supports up to 100 concurrent users. By deploying a blanket sensitivity policy throughout its organisation, MDA ensures workers are treated equally and all have access to the same sites and content.
